Nancy Isima was born on 17 December 1991 in Edo, Nigeria to Esan (Nigerian) parents. Nancy Isima lost her mother when she was 5 years old and was brought up by her father.

Nancy Isime Education

Nancy was born and raised in Lagos. She completed her primary and secondary education in Lagos. After that, she moved to Benin City where she completed her upper secondary education. She completed a 6-month basic program at the university of Port Harcourt, followed by a diploma in social work at the university of Lagos.

Nancy Isime received her Honorary Doctorate of Arts and Philosophy from Prowress University, Delaware, USA, on April 30, 2023, in collaboration with Leadtime Africa Magazine. She also received the Leadtime Africa Leadership Prize for Quality Service Delivery & Professionalism.

Career

Nancy Isime started her acting career in 2011 on the TV series Echoes. She is also well-known as a TV presenter, having presented gossip show ‘The Squeeze’, technology show ‘What’s Hot’, and backstage segments on MTN project Fame season 7. In 2016, she took over the hosting duties of Trending on hipTV from the popular show ‘Toke Makinwa’. She also co-hosted ‘The Headies award’ with Reminisce in 2019. She also presented ‘The Voice Nigeria 2021’ with Bovi. In 2019, she launched her own TV programme called ‘The Nancy Isime Show’. In 2020 she hosted The Headies award alongside Reminisce. In 2022, she starred as Kemi in ‘Blood Sisters’, a Netflix original series produced by the Mo Abudu-owned ‘Ebonylife TV studio’. In 2023, she played the role of Shalewa in ‘Shanty Town’.
