A final year student of the Faculty of Law and former President of Lagos State University Debate Society (LSUDS), Titilope Ibrahim @globaltitilope emerged as the winner of the 2023 JAWWAR National Debate competition held at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
The JAW WAR competition is the biggest public speaking event in West Africa organised annually to provide a platform for Students in various tertiary institutions to showcase their debating prowess.
Of the 6 universities that took part in the debate competition including Covenant University, and Obafemi Awolowo University, Titilope led Lagos State University to victory by presenting a speech on “Unified Industrialization; Africa’s only ticket to becoming a world economic power.”
Titilope gives all glory to God as she advises those who are passionate about public speaking to join public speaking societies that can train them in and practice public speaking every day of their life.
Titilope does not plan to stop there, she intends to take public speaking beyond the shores of Africa, train thousands of people, influence minds and make decisions that would promote good leadership and quality education globally.
