If you have recently finished your 2024 UTME Registration with JAMB and found a mistake in your application or want to change your choice of course or institution, you have come to the right place.

The purpose of this blog post is to provide you with a comprehensive step-by-step guide on how to update your personal information, such as correcting errors in Name, Date of birth, gender, State/State/LGA of origin, Passport Photograph, subjects, profile, course or institution selection, etc.

Categories of JAMB Data Correction

Here are the categories candidates can make changes to:

Names Correction: Please note that this service can only be used once. Surname, Firstname and  Lastname. This service enables candidates to correct spelling or arrangement errors in their names.

Date of Birth Correction: You can fix your date of birth if there is an error. However, this is a once-only fix.

Passport Photograph Correction: Any mistake in your passport photo can only be fixed once.

Gender Correction: Corrections can be made for gender errors. Additional supporting documents may be needed for this step, which can only be done once.

State/LGA Correction: You may need to submit additional supporting documents in order to correct your State/Local Government Area of Origin. This correction can only be done once.

Profile Correction: You can make any necessary changes to your profile at any time.

Choice of Institution/Course Correction: This service allows applicants to choose a course or institution that they are interested in. Unlike other options, this adjustment can be made multiple times with different payments.

N2,500 (two thousand five hundred naira only) is the cost for corrections regarding the Course/Institution, Names, Date of Birth, Gender, State/LGA of Origin, etc.

How to Carry Out JAMB Change of Course / Institution / Data

To fix any of the issues mentioned above, follow these steps:

Kindly Visit the JAMB portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

Then Login with your Email and Password.

Click on ‘Registration (2024 only)’ from the list of services on the left side.

From the drop-down, select ‘2024 UTME Data Correction’ / ‘2024 DE Data Correction’ as your case may be.

Kindly Proceed with the payment.

Once you have paid, go to the nearest JAMB branch or an accredited JAMB centre to finalize the correction process.

For 2024 and Earlier: JAMB Change of Course & Institution / Data Correction Procedure

If you registered for JAMB in 2024 or earlier and need to update your details on the portal, please follow these steps:

Kindly Visit JAMB E-facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.

Then login with your Email and Password.

You are to click on ‘Application for Correction of Data (2024 Downward)’ from the list of services on the left side.

Choose the course/institution, name, date of birth, gender, state/local government area of origin from drop-down.

Please be aware that you may need to make some corrections at the State Office of the JAMB.

Please note that data correction cannot be done by proxy under any circumstances. All data corrections must be performed by the applicant to prevent mistakes and issues.
