ASUU dissociates itself from rejecting the new FUTA Vice-Chancellor
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) chapter, has dissociated itself from a fewworriedparticipants kicking in opposition to the appointment of the college’s new Vice-Chancellor.
An announcement in Akure the previous dayvia way of means of the ASUU’s Chairperson, Prof. Oluyinka Awopetu, and Secretary, Dr. E. Rasaki, defined the purported rejection of the brand new VC as misleading.
“These publications, in large part titled ‘FUTA VC: ASUU kicks, says appointment fraught with fraud, lacks transparency,’ by no means originated from the ASUU-FUTA secretariat.

“As it is, the country is aware of the continuinggeneral and complete strike, which in element does now no longerpermit any assembly to hold. It becomeas a result of humiliation that our participantshave beenalleged to have held a Senate assembly.
“To the nice of our information and all informationat the ground, no Senate assemblybecome held in our college to pursue this role.
