The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, otherwise known as UTME is the first step for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria’s various universities/polytechnics/colleges and other tertiary institutions.
All the candidates that participated in the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2024/2025 UTME can now check their results.

How to Check JAMB Result 2024
There are two options to check JAMB results online. Candidates can check their results online (through the JAMB portal) or via SMS (using JAMB shortcodes).
Using the online option is free, you only need an internet-enabled device to be able to check your result. The SMS option is good for candidates with no internet-enabled device or candidates in locations with a terrible network. However, network providers will charge for using the SMS option.
Follow the simple steps below to check your 2024 JAMB UTME result online (without the use of a scratch card, i.e. FREE!) or offline (SMS).
Check JAMB Result Online (on JAMB portal – jamb.gov.ng)
STEP 1: Visit the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) result checking portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login
STEP 2: Supply your Registration Number/Phone Number in the required column
STEP 3: Finally, Click on the ‘Check My Results’ button to access your UTME results notification
The portal will return your JAMB Notification of Result if your result is ready. You can then proceed with the printing of the result.
Check JAMB Result Offline (via SMS)
All candidates can now send UTMERESULT (without spacing) via SMS, to 55019 (main code) or 66019 using the same number used for registration (you must have a credit balance of at least N50 on your line). The result would be replied to you as an SMS shortly after.
The following are the responses to be expected:
- If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘This phone number was not used for registration.”
- A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows… (and the details will be provided).
- A “Result Withheld” message will be sent to the candidate if a result is withheld.
- Suppose a candidate belongs to the category being given the benefit of the doubt. In that case, the message to the person will be: “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
- If a candidate were absent, s/he would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
- A candidate that was ABSENT WITH REGISTRATION NUMBER also CANCELLED will be so informed.
- “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to a candidate who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall.
Print Original JAMB Result Slip:
The JAMB result slip costs N1,000 (one thousand naira only), and it comes with passport photography affixed to it.
