Introduction

FUNAAB is a public institution of higher education in the state of Ogun, Nigeria.

It is one of Nigeria’s three universities, the others being Makurdi University in Benue State and Abia University in Umudike. It was established on 1 January 1988 by the government of Nigeria, with a mandate to provide teaching, research and extension services.

The university began with a small campus in Isale Igbein, the main city centre of Ogun. In December 1997, the university moved to a larger campus of 10,000 hectares on the north-eastern edge of the city.
