Purpose of Job within the organization

  • The role of the associate is to support the organization’s ability to provide timely, pro-active and disciplined business counsel and business transformation services to its clients.
  • The associate will take care of the day-to-day running of the office.
  • The individual will offer executive leadership to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and administrative support.
  • In addition, the associate will support Corporate Development function research by examining potential market opportunities in terms of strategic competitive fit.

While we are always looking for the best candidates to grow with us, the candidates we are seeking should have a certain level of experience in the areas listed below and/or have demonstrated the ability to quickly acquire the necessary skills.

  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project knowledge.
  • Business writing skills and the ability to write error-free business documents, contracts, proposals and client correspondence.
  • What are presentation skills? Presentation skills are the ability to communicate ideas clearly and clearly articulate goals, recommendations and reasons.
  • Oral Presentation Skills, such as engaging and maintaining the attention of the audience while conveying concepts.
  • Affinity to develop selling skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including how to communicate effectively with internal team members.
  • You need to be able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities as deadlines and priorities change.
  • Under the guidance of a team lead, have the self-assurance and poise to meet and engage with senior management, as well as to build stronger relationships with Q Advisory and our business partners.

 Qualifications/Knowledge

  • The perfect candidate has 0-3 years of data-driven experience supporting strategy development, business growth, and forecasting.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required (a master’s degree is an added advantage)
  • Customer Research, Strategy, Vision, Design, Development, Testing, and related change management practices.
  • Excellent Organizational, Vocational, Presentation/Facilitation and Writing Communication Skills.
  • Ability to work on your own and with a team made up of managers, project partners and project teams.
  • Numerically oriented, problem-solving problem-solving, tech-savvy, self-motivated, results-oriented, with the ability to work on their own and with others. Excellent communication skills, time management, and organizational skills needed to successfully accomplish position objectives in a fast-paced setting. Multi-tasking and prioritization skills required to keep up with changing schedules and priorities.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with basic project management skills/skills; must be able to prioritize and work on more than one project simultaneously.
  • Motivated problem-solver, tech-savvy, great with people and communication skills.
  • Vocational and written communication skills: Candidates must be able to effectively communicate the results of their findings to management and stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve problems: Candidates must have an inquisitive mind and the ability to come up with creative and innovative solutions to business issues.
  • Critical thinking: Candidates need to be able to make informed decisions based on data and various sources of information available to them. It is essential for candidates to be able to separate important information from less important information in order to solve a specific business issue. They also need to be able to look at data in an objective way, using rational thinking and proposing solutions, looking at the big picture.
  • Comfort with Uncertainty: Decisions are made with some degree of ambiguity, so applicants need to be comfortable with uncertainty.
  • Applicants must have high-level Excel skills and PowerPoint knowledge for presentation.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment: Candidates must be mature enough to communicate directly with senior leaders across departments and be able to lead teams on strategic initiatives.
  • Achieving a high level of academic performance with a well-rounded bachelor’s degree in a business administration, economics, or related field, or a science degree.

Responsibilities

  • Adopting, communicating, and executing a strategy to respond to competitive pressures, evolving customer needs, and evolving technology and marketing platforms.
  • Utilize market/customer insights, trends and competitor insights to generate revenue, generate yield, increase market share and increase customer loyalty.
  • Organize, negotiate, and implement sales and marketing programs
  • Structure, negotiate, and implement vendor agreements, distribution relationships and partner agreements
  • Undertake market analysis and operational support related to the firm/team’s strategy
  • Provide analytical support to all aspects of the business, where required
  • Summarize insights from analysis and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story; and articulate an argument to be presented to executives
  • Responsible for building appropriate external and internal client-facing materials
  • Identify, communicate, and execute on new opportunities related to the firm’s businesses functions
  •  Conduct customized research, due diligence, and market assessments
  • Prepare proposals to potential clients
  • Co-ordinate the administrative support for training courses and prepare post-training reports
  • Provide administrative support to the team lead and prepare training course material
  • Analyze, characterize, and assess competitors’ performance and positioning; anticipate changes and evaluate potential opportunities
  • Respond to on-going targeted and ad hoc inquiries for information about market, competitive and business-related topics.
  • Develop and maintain on-going competitive market assessments resulting in a strong knowledge base that will help drive overall organization strategy development
  • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage CE’s calendars and set up meetings
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Track daily expenses and prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports
  • Oversee the performance of other clerical staff
  • Act as control officer by keeping up with office supply inventory
  • Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports
  • Take minutes during meetings
  • Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
  • Organize and maintain the office filing system
  • Additional duties and special projects as needed
